What is an advice for student thinking of moving abroad?

As an educational consultant for international student it is not really my place to tell student what to do, but what I help students is to work out what is best for them. I coach international students by giving them the tools, resources and mind set needed that they can make these tough choices themselves.

A lot of students ask me Jinny am I doing the right thing?

The harsh truth is you just have to do it. But you don’t have to do it alone. Life will throw curveballs at you. It is your strength and self-determination that will get you through the toughest phases of life.

Step 1: Acknowledge that it will be tough. This is the most difficult decision of you life. It will be very confusing and stressful.

Step 2: Ask yourself and your agent that you are working with lots of questions. Nothing beats doing your own research.

Step 3: Start taking action on the ideas. You have to do the most difficult things in life to find out whether it was worth taking the risk or not. You can choose not to do it altogether.

Are you ready to face the consequences of the choices that you are about to make?

If not, why not? What is stopping you? This journey will not be just moving abroad, this journey will be finding who you are and what you are capable of.

Think about the choices and what are the consequences, write them down.

Do not underestimate the power of writing your notes and thoughts in a blank piece of paper. You will know when you have your answers.

Do you feel like it’s all too much? Well you don’t have to do it alone. This is where I come into the picture. I am your consultant, your coach, your navigator. I will partner with you to find out what success looks like?
