Meet Sandini

Every month, I aim to share with you an inspiring story. A story about courage, determination and migration.

Sandini is originally from Sri Lanka. She is a determined young woman passionate about her career in healthcare. She reached out to us 2 days before her current visa was due to expire. The story that I am about to share with you shows you how far we go for students who have right attitude.

She had completed her Advanced Diploma in Nursing from Sri Lanka. She knew that with foundational understanding, she need real-life practical knowledge to learn new skills.

She decided to move to New Zealand on a Level 4 pathway. This program equipped her with practical skills to step into the NZ workforce.

But, this was not enough to start a career in healthcare. Her friend recommended her to us. It was only 2 days left in her current student visa.

In 48 hours, we identified the right course that aligned with a practice-based healthcare program, a Level 5.

Most student visa applications take weeks, sometimes months to prepare, we had only 2 days. This is what we did:

1. We urgently contacted our immigration team to begin the second student visa application.

2. While speaking with the legal team, we simultaneously worked with the college to accelerate her Offer of Place.

3. We gathered, revised and updated all the key documents and made the application on the day her visa was expiring.

4. Her interim visa was granted, maintaining her legal status to live.

5. We finally submitted all the remaining documents.

6. In 2 weeks time, INZ came back requesting for further financial documentation.

7. We went back to INZ to give us extra time to prepare. We were facing challenges from banks in Sri Lanka due to slower processing times during public holiday period. INZ immediately approved our request.

8. As soon as our legal team uploaded all the necessary financial evidence, with a revised financial SOP, her visa was granted on the same day.

9. Sandini went from not knowing what her career would look like and having to go back to Sri Lanka to gaining her second approved student visa in the matter of 4 weeks. She has already completed her first two weeks and says "Orientation week went well and I’m starting to settle into the new course.😊"

These are the results that we deliver for our students. A highly skilled team ready to go above and beyond. Laser focused on delivering the best outcome for our clients. We do the heavy lifting and acted as the problem solver so our clients feel supported, reassured and informed at every stage.
